The Regent Ghana Library (RGL) has been set up from the former campus libraries, namely City Campus Library, McCarthy Hill Campus Library, Roquah Campus Library and the Kings’ Campus Library. The RGL is currently located on the ground floor of the main remodeled building on the McCarthy Hill campus.
The RGL has an effective selection and acquisition system that makes it possible to have a very balanced collection of books and other learning materials for all the disciplines offered in the university. Facilities at the Library create appropriate learning and research environment for students and lecturers. The Library anticipates and responds to student learning and research needs, and provides the information infrastructure necessary for effective teaching, learning and research.
We have a total book stock of 20,301 volumes. In direct support of the academic programmes of the University, the Library’s collections cover fields such as Management, Accounting, Economics, Computing, Information Systems, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, French, Theology, Divinity, Psychology and Human Development, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, MBA and MSc in Statistics.
The Library is air conditioned and equipped with 4 student computers (with capacity for 30), fully networked with internet facilities, exclusively for the use of students.
The Regent Ghana Library offers the following services to the users: computer access, Internet access, online past examination questions, book borrowing, quick reference services, assistance in the retrieval and use of Information resources and provision of congenial study environments. We also offer inter library loans to postgraduate students and academic staff.
There are plans to enhance our services and improve the Regent Library experience to staff and students as space becomes available with the completion of the campus physical infrastructure.
